Lacey receives offer from UK...UK will be involved with Purvis...Jennings hires agent...

-Trevor Lacey received a formal offer from UK today.  Coach Cal has been hestitant to offer him because of academic issues and the question if he would fit into the dribble drive system.  Lacey is a great shooter but does lack the skill to create his own shot.  Either Cal believes this is something Lacey can learn or that his shooting ability is just too good to pass up.

Lacey moved into the 5 star status from Rivals latest rankings.  If he was to commit to UK, that would give UK five five stars.  The 2011 class is already considered to be one of the best freshman classes of the history of college basketball.  Personally can not see how Lacey would not make them an out out best of the best class.

Of course everyone else will say that no one hangs banners for recruiting titles...this is true but great recruitment tends to equal winning programs...especially if this 2 and through rule works out.

-In other news, UK is going to be going after Purvis.  That may seem like a no brainer but as mentioned yesterday, UK must make sure they don't mess with anyone that would end up causing UK to be stripped of banners after the fact.  UK looked into him and believes that Purvis and his family are currently a safe pick to recruit.

-Louisville took a hit today as Terrence Jennings who will not be drafted, signed an agent today.  Pitino continues to have players signing agents knowing they are a long shot to be drafted.  If you are a recruit, you got to stop and ask why these players have little faith in Pitino to develop them and prepare them for the NBA...there are always circumstances where a player needs the money now like Azuibuike did for UK but this is too common pattern with Pitino for this to be the case.

There is continued silence from UofL on these guys for why they are leaving.  They continue to just focus in on what they have to replace those who have decked instead of explaining why these players continue to do this before they are ready.  This is not a reciple of players simply decking because of the need for money right now to take care of their family.
