According to reports five star forward DeAndre Daniels coming off a visit to UK has cut his list to three schools: Kentucky, Kansas and Oregon.
According to his father who did not take the UK visit with DeAndre, he still plans on enrolling in January. This being the case, he will need to make a decision quickly on his school of choice.
It may come down to if Cal can convince him to play this season or not. If Daniels is looking for the place where he can log the most minutes this season, then UK or Oregon would be his best choices. Kansas is significantly deeper than UK this season and surely he could find minutes at Oregon because they lack what they call talent...
If he is still set on sitting out the rest of the season than this could likely mean UK isn't his destination, since Daniels left Lexington with only a conditional offer. Cal wants him to play this season, knowing UK's lack of depth.
Who knows if that is just Cal playing hard ball or not. Daniels is still the best recruit available in the 2011 class and unless there is an NBA lockout next season and Kanter is allowed to play next year, than we will have room for him.
We shall see...
