The #8 player, 5 star in the 2011 class Austin Rivers has been committed to Florida for quite a well but as a committed players has continued to visit other schools and talk to other coaches...so in my mind and many that isn't committed.
Today he officially decommitted from Florida. He is still considering Florida, Duke, North Carolina and likely will be adding more schools to his list as well.
Billy Donavon has been struggling as of late since his prize class of Noah and company departed. Ever since it has been NIT every year until this year where they barely made it in the field of 65. They proved unworthy and departed on the first day of the tournament.
Donavon has had to deal with a significant amount of transfers in the last few years as well.
They are expected to be decent next year if all players return and adding two 4 star recruits. If they do end up losing their prize recruit in Rivers who is a home state kid as well...this could be the signs of some more NIT's in Florida's future. It's Florida though, where football is king and all of Florida's fans will focus on Billy D's two championship rings and will continue to blindly think he is the best because he lucked out on one recruiting class.
