#1 player in the country, 6'10 Nerlens Noel commits to the Cats. After a day of hoping for both #2 Muhammad and #1 Noel turned into almost for gone conclusion UK was out for Muhammad and neck and neck with Georgetown for Noel. Woke up this morning expecting Noel and not expecting Muhammad.
Then the Twitter world went a buzz that Noel was headed to Georgetown. Why? This is what many UK fans would like to know. Noel's teammate tweeted earlier that he guessed Georgetown. He stated he was just as in the dark as anyone else, so surely this wasn't what caused such a buzz towards the Hoyas? Who knows. I'm sure the talking heads proclaiming Georgetown are not going to be volunteering themselves as the original source.
Muhammad has decided to not involve himself with the 4th straight number one recruiting class. He will be on the outside looking in and hoping to make some noise with additional freshman like Tony Parker.
You can argue between Muhammad and Noel on who is the better player but Noel was more important for UK's needs. UK has Harrow, Goodwin to handle the ball. Has the offense in Harrow, Goodwin, Wiltjer and Poythress. What UK didn't have is the size. They still need more size and will likely see one more addition in size with Bennett or Orakhi.
