Evan Daniels has reported that he believes Daniels will be headed to Kansas. He doesn't site his source but his source is people who are close to Daniels are telling them that they "think" he is going to pick Kansas.
Now he may end up doing just that but that is not final by any means. Of course...watch him commit there right after I post this...you never know in recruiting...
All three programs have told Daniels he could come play right away. Daniels has stated in the past that he wants to come in this semester but not play until the Fall for next season.
What Daniels likes about Kansas is their available playing time for next season. UK will be loaded and no matter how good Daniels develops, he will be sharing minutes with tons of talent.
UK is trying to sell him on playing this season and if he does he will be ready for next season and can be part of something very special with Gilchrist and company.
If Daniels wants to develop at his highest level he needs to put himself around as much as talent as possible. So what if you will get more minutes at Kansas or Texas next season. Cal will develop him at a higher rate then KU and Texas and this should be more important to Daniels over playing time.
If Daniels is set on sitting out this season and is just focused on promised playing time, then he will be going elsewhere. The UK coaching staff still feel good about Daniels but so does Kansas and maybe even Texas..in a world where a recruit can have "the hat presentation" pick a school and then turn right around and cry on the phone to another coach and then end up going to that other coach...anything is possible...nothing will surprise me...
All I know is UK is wanting him to get off the fence, if he wants to jump on the train, he needs to hurry up and do it before the train passes him by in the dust.
