Typically when coaches leave, programs will release any player that wants out of their contract but they don't have to. Sometimes they will only agree if the player agrees to not go to rival schools or schools in the same conference. Of course if a plyaer is released they can do what they want but it is a hassle that some recruits don't want to mess with. They want the ball to stay in their court.
5 stars Michael Gilchrist, Marquis Teague, Anthony Davis and Kyle Wiltjer are saying to heck with that, were signing as early as they possibly can..which is tomorrow.
What is great about this, is the confidence this class has that UK is where they want to be and their confidence that Cal isn't going anywhere.

DeAndre Daniels, Trevor Lacey, or Michael Chandler? or maybe someone else?
That has a whole lot to do with our needs, which he won't know until we see who decks for the pros.
ReplyDeleteDeAndre Daniels and Trevor Lacey are our current two biggest prospects UK is involved with. Daniels thought of reclassifying just to come to UK. Lacey would have committed to UK months ago but hasn't been offered. He wanted to announce his decision but Cal told him to hold off.
