UK has not officially offered him yet but Cal is speaking with him in L.A. tonight and UK compliance today was looking into him. UK looks into a lot of guys even Royce White (who a certain insider claimed I was clueless for saying UK wouldn't ever offer and they never did...).
Neverless I'm told UK is expected to offer him tonight. Daniels is a California kid and has visited scheduled with both UCLA and USC but they may not happen if he was of course ready to commit to UK.
It seems like UK is in good shape but you never know. Daniels maybe seeing that the 2011 class will be stacked and if he wants to go to UK it may have to be 2010 while there are open spots. Then in 2011 he will have a year of college experience over the freshman.
We will see what happens...no idea on if a commitment will come soon or even if he will in fact switch over to 2010. Anyone calling it must know better then the UK coaching staff or they are just guessing with confidence...

ReplyDeleteWhat position will he play. I heard he was a 3 maybe a combo 3/4 but isnt the 3 stacked for us this year?
ReplyDeleteMichael, he is was a 2010 reclassified to 2011 then made up ground and has now been cleared to play in 2010. He could play right away at UK.
ReplyDeleteHe would be playing the 3. The guys we have playing 3 can also play other positions as well. We could use some extra depth.
