Monday's Headlines-Cat Fans Be Pondering...

-Terrence Ross committed to Washington today. He wasn't likely to be eligible for 2010 but this may be the first recruit Cal showed true interest in and didn't get.

His best friend also is Terrence Jones and many are concerned Ross' commitment will have Jones follow. This is the big question making Cat fans ponder...will Ross' get Jones to follow him or is this actually a good sign for UK? Ross and Jones were originally expected to announce together on the 23rd or 30th.


Jones said he would announce on the 30th and Ross decided to announce Sunday the 25th. What caused this change? Washington fans want to believe it is just the two wanting their own spot light. UK fans want to believe this is a sign they are going to different places. If Ross would have committed to UK yesterday, Washington would now be hoping for what UK fans are hoping and vice versa. So basically, we don't know...it's all speculation at this point on what this actually means.

-Leslie is expected to announce soon but hasn't set up an official date as of yet.

-Rumor has it Cal will be setting up a deal to scrimmage his good friend Larry Brown and his Charlotte Bobcats. UK would get drilled but it could be great exposure and a chance for any over confident freshman to be put in their place, real fast.  Other sites say this isn't true at all...

-Maggard was called out by Tony Wroten today. Maggard stated Wroten would not be committing to UK anytime soon and Wroten heard about this and responded that he will commit whenever he wants. Maggard contest Wroten does not have an offer and isn't likely to receive one for awhile, hence not being able to commit until he does. Wroten seems to be chomping at the bit to go to UK. Cal has the ability to be very selective in 2011-2012 and it has to do with more then just talent but also chemistry.

If you are not following Wroten on twitter, you should...it's quite entertaining but to be honest I hope if he does commit to UK, Cal tells him to lay off some of his tweets...to follow him and other UK related names, click on the "Links for UK fans!" on the right hand side and go down to the Twitter section.
